Congratulations to Lylla Turco, a UF junior, who was recently selected by UF’s Center for Undergraduate Research for the University Scholars Program. Lylla is majoring in Behavioral and Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Florida. Her research interests include neuroscience, aging, and social determinants of health. She will work with the Pain TRAIL team under direct mentorship of Dr. Jared Tanner to look at relationships between behavioral and psychosocial factors, cognition, and the brain in adults with and without chronic pain. After graduation, she hopes to attend medical school and pursue a specialty that combines her passions for neuroscience and working with older adults. In her free time, she enjoys baking, running, and traveling back to France to visit family!
